Prior to your labor and delivery, you will have 3 visits with your doula, not including the initial consultation. These visits will consist of creating a birth plan, lactation support & education, reviewing comfort measures including breathing exercises and gentle touch support. 

Your doula will be present for your labor and delivery to provide support physically and emotionally. Your doula will also be there to encourage you to advocate for your needs  and assist you in understanding that your opinion matters. You have autonomy over your body and your decisions. Ask questions if things feel confusing!

After your labor and delivery, you will have 3 postpartum visits with your doula. During these visits, your doula will work with you to assess your needs post-delivery and listen without judgment. Your needs may include difficulty with lactation, bonding with your newborn, familial support or emotional adjustment.
